In this lesson, students will observe a model interview to gain a deeper understanding of asking open-ended and follow-up questions and how to create safe, brave interview spaces. Students will complete a storyboarding activity to practice pulling out significant moments from an oral history interview. Students will explore the following questions:
- How do I conduct a successful oral history interview?
- What can we learn about others through oral history?
Grades: Flexible and adaptable for middle and high school.
