Partnership in Action: San Francisco Unified School District
Since 2018, Voice of Witness has partnered with the San Francisco Unified School District to bring professional development workshops and in-person classroom support to teachers and teacher librarians throughout the city. VOW works directly with students from elementary through high school, providing curricular resources and creating full storytelling projects that reach hundreds of students each year. Ranging across subjects like English language development, Ethnic Studies, history and social studies, art and electives, VOW’s oral history methodology supports core curricular content as well as social emotional learning.
