Project Description

The lesson plans for Throwing Stones at the Moon explores the cultural, political, and emotional realities of being forced from one’s home or country of origin.

It allows teachers
and students to contemplate definitions of “home” as they personalize
the plight of narrators who carry “home” on their backs or in their hearts.

In the following lessons, students will also combine critical and creative thinking through poetry, monologues, and visual art.
