Start a Voice of Witness Book Club

VOW oral history books amplify the voices of people impacted by—and fighting against—injustice and foster thoughtful, empathy-based critical inquiry. Libraries, schools, and companies across the country have hosted book clubs and discussions with our materials.

Book clubs are useful tools for engaging and interacting with these texts and the topics they highlight. These groups can take many different forms: community or classroom, local or national, in-person or virtual. Even using a hashtag across social media can help spark wider conversations about a specific book.
