Apply now for this dynamic program to support your students in telling their stories through photography and personal narrative.
The 100cameras x Voice of Witness program collaboration is designed to work in partnership with local schools, community centers, children’s homes, or enrichment programs to equip students with the tools they need to tell their stories while also empowering them to create change in their communities. This program is designated to partner alongside an organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The program grantee will receive the tools, curriculum, and support needed to teach kids to process and tell their stories through photography and personal narrative in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their roles in their community. The program includes weekly classes and activities led by our staff that will guide participants through the process of telling and documenting their past, present, and future.
The course will culminate in the creation of a book that features student photography and student-created oral history narratives. Each student participant will be given a free copy and all proceeds from the sale of the book will be given to the participating partner organization.
This program can serve up to 40 student participants. All student equipment and education provided through the partnership.
